I was passing by the park where we had first met,
Memories came like flowing water,
My heart ached and a drop of pain touched my palm,
Those days, Those promises everything became memories not happy ones but the most painful ones I could ever have had,
Life came to a standstill, memories came like an open book which I had long learnt and still remembered it word to word,
I recollected myself and trudged my way home,
Went to the terrace and looked at the sky
It was a dark moonless sky which resembled my life.
I took a smoke few more drops trickled down my cheek,
In that dark night I was alone on my terrace without a ray of light remembering the days when I had a sky full of stars,
But today darkness enveloped me.....
Just the faint light of burning tobacco came from the cigarette and then my phone beeped:"Its your anniversary ";
A few more drops of tears trickled down and a painful smile came out......
I wish she would remember.....
